New company planned for 2022

Sony Group Corp. and Honda Motor Co. have teamed up to create electric vehicles, combining their capabilities as future automobiles grow more technologically advanced and networked.

Technology integration and after-sales service

According to their statement, the partners want to form a new firm in 2022, and automobile sales should begin in 2025.

According to the firms, the partnership will combine Honda’s mobility and car manufacturing technology with Sony’s aftermarket experience in image, sensor, telecommunications, networking, and entertainment technologies.
