Sneaker maker Li Ning jumped 66%
The Olympic champion’s sportswear brand has experienced the biggest growth this year among China’s 100 Most Valuable Brands.
The brand value of sportswear producer Li Ning Co. increased 66% to $3.4 billion, the fastest rate in Kantar BrandZ’s annual report.
Tencent tops list of 100 most valuable Chinese brands
According to the research, Li Ning’s growth has been powered by technological advancement and nationalistic fashion, with the latter igniting a rising tide of consumer nationalism in China that has driven away multinational corporations like Nike Inc.
According to the annual analysis of Kantar BrendZ, Tencent Holdings Ltd. holds the top spot on the list of the most valuable Chinese brands, followed by Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.
Due to supply chain problems brought on by growing inflation and the COVID shutdown, the overall worth of China’s top 100 brands decreased 20% to $1.24 trillion.
