NFT sales must go through Apple’s in-app purchase system.
The company said in a statement that apps cannot have buttons, external links, or other calls to action that point users to buy mechanisms. Instead, NFTs and associated services must be sold through Apple’s in-app purchasing system.
Apple opposes any app features that permit NFT owners to unlock features or features in an app, which could act as an indirect workaround for its payments restriction, and levies the customary 30% fee on payments it processes.
